Kukje Gallery is enveloped in a custom-fabricated chainmail veil. This stainless steel mesh produces a layer of diffusion in front of the actual building mass through a combination of multidirectional reflections, openness, and a moiré pattern generated through the interplay of its shadows.

SO – IL completed the transformation of an existing art space into the new Tina Kim Gallery. Marked by a sculptural brick entrance, the design recontextualizes pre-existing galleries and creates an unexpected experience of the familiar.
